Professor Stan Abrams has over ten years of experience in China dealing with intellectual property, technology and cross-border corporate transactions. His intellectual property experience includes IP registrations and portfolio management, dispute resolution and anti-counterfeiting, advising on the IP aspects of corporate transactions, and IP/technology licensing. Professor Abrams has advised technology companies, including biotech, telecom and software enterprises, on China commercial and regulatory matters, including R&D facility setups, outsourcing arrangements, and software development. He has assisted a wide range of enterprises, including technology and franchising firms, with technology transfer agreements and government approvals.
Professor Abrams is the author of China Hearsay, an often-read blog discussing issues of Chinese law, business and politics. He is a frequent speaker on China intellectual property, technology and foreign investment issues and has given presentations to audiences ranging from business executives to lawyers to students.
