POBACLE STUDENT HARALD BÜRGSTEIN (’11) PUBLISHES
CHINESE GOVERNMENT PROCUREMENT ARTICLE WITH AUSTRIAN JOURNAL
CUFE-POBACLE is proud to announce that former student Harald Bürgstein has published an article on Chinese Government Procurement. Bürgstein, Harald, “Vergaberecht in der Volksrepublik China (Government Procurement Law in the PRC),” 5 RPA - Zeitschrift für Vergaberecht (RPA-Journal for Government Procurement) 258 (2012). Mr. Bürgstein attended CUFE’s Beijing Autumn Semester Program in Comparative Business Law in 2011, actively participating in Professor Daniel Mitterhoff’s Comparative Government Procurement Law course. After leaving Beijing, he interned at the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber of Commerce, where the organization’s Head of Government Procurement encouraged him to write the article. In July 2012, Mr. Bürgstein graduated with a Masters in Law from CUFE-POBACLE’s European law school partner, Vienna University of Business and Economics. He is now working with the Austrian courts as part of the apprenticeship process to become a licensed lawyer in Austria.
