Robert D. Anderson
Robert Anderson is Counsellor and Team Leader for Government Procurement and Competition Policy, Intellectual Property Division, WTO Secretariat; Honorary Professor, School of Law, University of Nottingham (UK); and Part-time Faculty Member, World Trade Institute, University of Bern (Switzerland). He received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Toronto and also holds a Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Economics from the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, Canada. Prior to joining the WTO Secretariat in 1997, he held various positions in the Canadian Competition Bureau (Canada,s national antitrust agency) and, earlier in his career, in: (i) the Department of Finance of the Canadian Province of Saskatchewan; and (ii) the Economic Council of Canada. He is editor of two books and author/co-author of more than 50 articles/book chapters on topics in competition policy, international government procurement policy, intellectual property and international trade policy. He is a citizen of Canada and the United States, and resides in Geneva, Switzerland.
